In order to better offer our services and activities to other organizations and obtain more visibility using a minimum of resources, we have created working alliances with such organizations as the Club Campestre of Cali, The Farrallones Country Club and the Consular Corps.
Gran fiesta Carnaval y Bingo
We held our first Gran Fiesta Carnaval y Bingo at The Club Campestre of Cali in April of this year. This was one of the most successful events ever held by The American Society with over 400 members and friends in attendance. Everyone enjoyed themselves; the music, the show, the bingo, the great prizes! We want to extend our sincere gratitude to the Board of Directors of The Club and especially to our fellow Amsoc member and the President of The Board of the Club Campestre, Ernesto De Lima Bohmer, for their warm hospitality and unconditional help in every detail.
We also want to congratulate and thank our organizing committee and it’s leader, Martha Atehortua and our thanks also to Gloria Esperanza Vinasco, whose generous donation made possible the musical show enjoyed by everyone. We also thank the companies who sponsored this grand event.
We are looking forward to our next big Fiesta Carnaval y Bingo which will be held sometime in the near future.
The International Gastronomy Fair
We participated every year in this annual Fair which, this year, was held on May 9th. It is organized by Consular Corps of Cali and was held at Jardin Plaza. The objective of this popular event is to collect funds to be donated to social welfare projects. We want to send special thanks for their donations to Carol Felton, Martha Atehortua, O’Mas Deli (Julio and Edith Wertheimer), Nora Conover, Olga Velásquez, Audrey Matallana, Carla Uribe and Rafael González.
